Pastor Schultz's Biography  

A brief biography of Pastor Schultz and his (growing) family.

Aaron Carl Schultz was born August 10, 1978, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to parents Carol and Stephen Schultz. Aaron’s dad is the Director of Christian Education (Principal) at Faith, Antioch, IL, while his mom is a nurse at the Aurora clinic in Kenosha, WI.

Growing up in a teacher’s household meant a number of moves throughout childhood. Aaron’s dad has served three previous calls as principal and teacher in Plymouth, NE (until age 5 for Aaron); Chesaning, MI (until age 17); Juneau, WI (until age 27). Aaron attended Zion Lutheran grade school in Chesaning, MI, for K-8, when he continued on to Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS) for his first three years of high school. His parents move to Wisconsin meant a tough decision. He started out his senior year at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI. And after one semester at a new school, he realized that he wanted to graduate with all his friends back at MLS in 1996.

Aaron then enrolled at Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN, in the fall to further his studies for the pastoral ministry. After graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in 2002, it was off to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, WI. During his third year at the Seminary, he was the vicar at Faith, Fond du Lac, WI. This was an important year for Aaron as he gained valuable practical experience in parish ministry, and also found time to date Jill Keifenheim, who he married a year and a half later.

Spring of 2006 saw many changes. On May 25th and 26th, Aaron received his first call into the public ministry to Beautiful Savior, El Paso, TX, and graduated with his Master of Divinity. On July 2nd, Aaron and Jill were married in Fond du Lac, WI. After the honeymoon, they had a short order of six days to load up the moving truck and start driving the 24-hour trip to El Paso. And on July 30th, Aaron was ordained and installed into the public ministry.

But that’s not all, a few short months later, Aaron and Jill were blessed with the news that they would have a baby girl! And, on June 9, 2007, Jill gave birth to Hannah Louise Schultz.

Aaron, Jill and Hannah love their family time. They enjoy all sorts of sporting and outdoor activities. They also enjoy the company of friends. And, in their move to West Des Moines, they are excited about making new friends and meeting their new family of believers! They appreciate the opportunities to serve our Lord and Savior and look forward to doing that together with all the wonderful people at Beautiful Savior!
