At Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Des Moines, Iowa we preach and teach that Jesus Christ was crucified. That His suffering and death paid for all our sins and earned for us the gift of everlasting life. Our mission is to grow in faith, gather together as believers, and go to our neighbors with the Gospel.
We proclaim God's truth of forgiveness and life through Jesus Christ. In a world of sin, trouble, inconsistency and contradictions, we are blessed to have an island of stability and certainty in God's Word.
The Bible's message is unchanging, and it speaks to the true needs of today's people. Sin, death, guilt, shame, hurt, sorrow, anxiety, grief, discouragement and doubt are issues that are faced by people in our world every day. And these issues, as well as many more, are all addressed by our holy and loving Creator in the Bible. God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be the solution to the sin that created all these problems in the first place. At Beautiful Savior, our main mission is to lead people to walk with Jesus Christ. Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6 NIV)
